Ad-free Delta-V

The Delta-V website is free and paid for by advertising. If you own Comms Silence or an active Velocity Pass in the Delta-V Android app, signing in here with the same Google account removes the ads from the whole website too, at no extra cost. There is no separate website purchase — this page sells nothing, charges nothing, and asks for no payment details. It only reads the entitlement you already own.

How to get it

Both routes are ordinary Google Play purchases made inside the Delta-V app (package com.wyatt.deltav). Either one is enough — you never need both, and neither is required to finish the game.

• Comms Silence — the one-time Remove Ads purchase. Buy it once, ads stop in the app, and the website honours it from then on.
• Velocity Pass — the subscription. Any tier includes ad-free, and the website treats a pass as ad-free for as long as it is active. When a pass lapses, ads return; nothing else you own is affected.

Then sign in below with the same Google account you use in the app. That account is the whole link between the two — the entitlement is recorded against it by Google Play, and the website looks it up rather than storing its own copy of who bought what.

Sign-in is optional in every sense. Skipping it costs you nothing but the ads, which is the arrangement the site is built to survive on.

Staying signed out does not mean giving up control of those ads. The cookie settings control in the site footer switches ad personalisation off in one press — no account, no sign-in, no trade-off, and no feature withheld for using it. What that changes, and what Google still does either way, is set out in the Cookie Notice.

What signing in does, and what it does not

An account prompt on a website you came to for launch countdowns deserves a straight answer, so here is the whole mechanism rather than a reassurance.

What it does

• Opens Google’s own sign-in. You authenticate with Google, not with us. We never see or handle your password.
• Reads one document from your Delta-V cloud save — the same save the app writes — and checks it for Comms Silence or an active Velocity Pass. The security rules on that database allow a signed-in account to read only its own save, so this site cannot read anybody else’s, and neither can anyone else read yours.
• Caches the answer in your browser with a timestamp, and re-checks at most every 12 hours. That is a performance decision: a returning ad-free visitor gets an ad-free page without the sign-in code loading at all.
• If — and only if — that check comes back positive, turns off every ad unit on the site, not just on this page. Signing in is not itself the thing that removes ads; the entitlement is. An account without one stays on the ad-supported site, signed in or not.

What it does not do

• It does not write to your save. The read is read-only. Your progress, fuel, unlocks and black boxes are untouched, and the browser game on the play page stays separate and local.
• It does not post anything anywhere. No profile, no leaderboard entry, no message, no share.
• It does not see your address or payment details. Google Play holds those. The website never receives them, and nothing on this page asks for them.
• It does not create a website account. There is no password to set, no profile to fill in, and no user record kept on our side — the session lives in your browser and in Google’s systems.
• It does not subscribe you to anything. Signing in is not a mailing-list opt-in.

You can sign out at any time from the panel above. Sign-out clears the cached entitlement from your browser immediately, and ads come back with it. Signing out cancels nothing — your Play purchase is unaffected, and signing back in restores ad-free straight away.

Why it works this way

Selling ad-free separately on the web would mean a second checkout, a second thing to refund, and a second record of who bought what — for a benefit most of the people reading this have already paid for once. Honouring the app entitlement instead costs a sign-in and a single database read.

The trade is stated plainly on the about page: advertising, the depot, in-app purchases and affiliate commission are what keep the launch data free for everyone, signed-in or not. No countdown, article or feed is ever behind an entitlement.
